Christina Ochoa was born in Spain. She has worked as an actress as well as a marine biologist. She is the granddaughter of Nobel winner Severo. At the 2014 World Cup, she won a gold with the US. She was a member of the US on three FIFA Womens World Cups. Her hat-trick in the championship match is still popular. More than 230 times she has represented the US team at international games and netted over 90 goals. James Galanis, the head coach of the US national team says that Carli is an excellent midfielder. She's focused and fully committed to the game she plays. Carli has had to make a number of sacrifices on the field to pursue her dreams and she brings professionalism for the players. Carli released her most-seller book entitled "When Nobody Was watching" in 2016. In 2017 the president Obama appointed her as a co-chair and member of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.
